What is a group code?
A short code for your group, up to 9 letters and numbers, like SSU or PTA22. It makes your Join page link, smsgo.org/join/SSU, and it’s what people text to join: JOIN SSU.
Where do I set up my branding?
On your Settings page, under Group Branding. Add your logo, banner and color, write your description, and open the live preview to see your Join page as you go.
What images work best?
A square logo and a wide banner, about 3 to 1. PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP files up to 5 MB each.
Do I need a logo?
No. Without a logo, your pages show a badge with your group code in your brand color, so they still look finished.
Where do I get my QR code?
On your Members page, next to your Join page link. Download the QR code as an image for flyers, posters and sign-up tables, or copy the link and a ready-made invite message.
What happens when someone texts ABOUT?
They get your group description and instructions to join, like “To join, text JOIN SSU to (240) 786-1112.” Turn on discovery alerts in Settings to hear when someone new asks. Each ABOUT reply is a standard text at $0.03 per segment.
Where does my branding appear?
On your Join page, your Contribute page and the emails your members get. Emails open with your logo and group name on a band of your color.
Does a branded page cost extra?
No. Every group gets a branded Join page, a QR code and a Contribute page. You pay only for the messages you send and receive.
Can I change my branding later?
Any time. Upload a new logo or banner, change your color or edit your description in Settings, and your pages update right away.
