Can I send a group text from my email?
Yes. Email a command like #all or #GroupName plus your message from the email address on your account to the SMSGO command address shown in your account. SMSGO replies with the count and cost, and sends when you reply YES.
Do I put the command in the subject or the body?
Either. SMSGO reads the subject line first, then the first lines of the message. Re: and Fwd: are ignored, and so are quoted lines from earlier emails.
Can I answer member texts from my email?
Yes. Turn on reply forwarding and each reply arrives in your email, instantly or as an hourly or daily digest. Hit Reply, and SMSGO delivers your answer to the member as a text, or as an email if that is their choice.
Can members get messages by email instead of text?
Yes. Members can choose email on your Join page, you can add people by email, and anyone who gets texts can switch by texting EMAIL. Email members get a formatted email with RSVP buttons, and their replies count with everyone else’s.
Do email RSVP buttons work with caps and waitlists?
Yes. YES, YES +1 and NO buttons follow the same rules as texted replies: a full event puts new YESes on the waitlist, and a NO moves the next person in.
What does email cost?
$0.003 per email you send, compared with $0.03 per text segment. Replies members send by email are free, and forwarding a reply to your own email is $0.003.
Can I stop reply emails for a while?
Yes. Email MUTE to pause reply emails and UNMUTE to turn them back on. Replies still collect in your Inbox.
Can someone else add members by email?
Yes. Members you make Recruiters can send #ADD with an email address to add people, and that is all they can do.
